Course Overview
Study of theory and research that informs the literacy skills and processes of transitioning and advanced readers. Specific focus on reading and writing to learn; reading and writing workshop; literacy for students from diverse cultural, linguistic, and developmental backgrounds; multiple literacies; critical literacy; and the role of technology in literacy instruction (includes 25-hour supervised clinic with students in grades 4-12).
