Ecological Ethics

Course Overview

This course covers a wide range of ecological issues including climate change, environmental racism, endangered species, pollution, habitat destruction, issues of human overpopulation and resource depletion. The coursework offers a systems approach, balancing the study of ecological issues with ways of thinking and educating to create restorative practices that benefit people, animals, and the Earth. Through a humane education lens, this course examines how we might learn and teach about ecological issues within the context of human rights and animal protection.
